|Announcement: Adventures Never End in 2014Park will open year round on weekends and holidays, plus new water ride
||• Expanded calendar for more days of fun• New interactive water ride fun for everyone• Engage in water battles for soaking good timeIt’s official. In 2014, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will offer more days to enjoy the best of Northern California entertainment by operating year round, including weekends and holidays in January and February. In 2014 Tsunami Soaker, a brand new interactive ride will also drench children of all ages.
For the first time in 16 years, guests can enjoy their favorite rides and attractions more often as Six Flags Discovery Kingdom expands its operating calendar to be open year-round for 2014, including holidays and weekends in January and February. Already home to the best entertainment in Northern California, Discovery Kingdom will also add an exhilarating new wet and wild family water attraction that is slated to open in 2014.
As the first interactive water ride in the park, the all-new Tsunami Soaker will be the newest addition to the lineup of family thrills, and this wet and wild attraction provides an energetic and engaging experience like no other.
Tsunami Soaker is like your classic teacup ride with an exciting twist. You and up to five other passengers will hop into one of the nine round boats sitting on a circular floor atop a pool of water. As the ride begins, the floor will lower into the water until it disappears, allowing your boat to float and splash around. Your raft will spin in circles while the other boats twist around you, creating a dizzying experience.
Each seat on the boat is armed with a giant water gun so every rider can participate in the action. While your boat rotates around the wet course, you can engage in an adrenaline-pumping water battle, shooting your pistol at other riders and innocent bystanders, soaking them with bursts of water. This drenching water attraction will be a great way to cool off on a hot day and enjoy a fun family adventure.
With the announcement that the park is now open year round, you’ll have more time to visit the park and enjoy all your favorite rides, animals, and attractions. With the mild temperatures in Northern California, there’s no reason not to visit the park all year long. In addition to our normal operating schedule, which includes daily operation during the summer, the park will also remain open on weekends and holidays in January, February, and November, giving you more days to play than ever before.
The new Tsunami Soaker is set to debut in 2014. Are you ready to get soaked on this new ride?
